I cheat on her only because I love her, and she needs time to heal every now and then.

I would have a problem with it, but I'm also posting here, so who knows?

My wife and I have avoided that nonsense by having an open marriage. It works for us, and since we both have other lovers, there's no deception or lying or cheating or hiding or any of the guilt/baggage that can be created by a marriage without boundaries.

This same exact question has come up between me and a bunch of friends and this was pretty much the consensus.... something completely random, out of town perhaps, with a complete stranger with no contact after would be a possibility.

A gf on the side is completely different and off limits

If this isn't some Ashley Madison-type trap shite, I'll be shocked. Narc over here.

I've been cheated on. I could never put another person through that experience.

I may be sort of a douche, but I'm not that low down to cheat in a relationship. Never have, never will. If you want multiple partners, just stay single... How hard is that for people to understand?

They will always find out. If your s/o is fricking around, you will know at some point. If it's happening and you "don't know," you really just don't want to face it

I've cheated, and I've been cheated on. I'll never do it again. I'd rather go without sex forever than hurt anyone by cheating again.

A little dimestore psychology if I may for just a minute:

sure fire sign that your SO is cheating on you is that he/she randomly gets overly jealous/suspicious and starts putting out a weird vibe behind that. Because what happens is when you cheat, you automatically assume that your SO is doing the same exact thing. I can say this because I was the cheater in past relationships.

I couldn't do that in my marriage because I think of my kids. Not that I don't see women today that for a split second go to town with.

This to me is almost worse. At least with a GF on the side, you're acting on issues within your marriage/relationship. It's typically a response to unhappiness: find a new partner that can satisfy your physical and/or emotional needs.

Just screwing some random broad because you're in a different area code? You really can't let your hand do the work and go home to your wife as a husband that can honor his marriage vows?

The only thing separating a married man from infidelity is opportunity.

That's not entirely true. Although depending on the circumstances, I could definitely see temptation out the yin yang.

Really? You think every married man that isn't cheating on his wife just doesn't have the opportunity to get laid?

Id like to kill my wife most days.

With that said she puts up with my shite and loves me unconditionally.

So no, I just don't have desire to cheat on her.
Plus she puts out regularly.
