Adopt a model of education that caters to the abilities of the student and quit dragging along useless weight in the system.
9th grade you going one of three ways...
College Track
Vocational Training
General Education
Get the idea out of your head that all education is for all.
General Education will end up being the Zoo of public education but at least it will be taught as such with all the other animals.

People should pay for their healthcare directly and then talk to the third parties themselves for reimbursement.
It would rapidly improve the system if everyone knew what was actually going on behind the scenes and were informed consumers.

On a related note, a Windows PC is easier and more intuitive to use than a Mac.

Yeah, the whole "Mission Control" thing is utter garbage. They should just pay Microsoft whatever they want to copy their UI.
Overall I still require the snappy performance of a Mac for a lot of stuff I do. It'll always feel like left-handed masturbation, though.

Gnome 2 was a much better launcher than either, and the lack of commercial success of Linux distributions is largely due to fear of the general consumer to spend a whole hour learning that better is out there.
