I'm a college aged lifelong San Antonian. I don't have to make shite up, its the reality of living in a city with 25% whites.

The Guadalupe river floating alone makes it worth it. I have family there, you'll love it.

I don't really care what you say, bruh. You hate it here, I love it. Never had any racial problems here. And I'm black--you're up in here crying about 25% wgite population, Jesus Christ. Neighborhood/church is chock full of mixed couples and kids. It's pretty damned awesome. Love the people/food/culture here, and hope I never move away again.

Hope you find happiness living someplace else. As for me, I was happy as hell to come back here.

You are right about Stone Oak that is North of 1604, but when I drive to Austin on the back roads with the Hill Country view. It's glorious.

It's like Mexico without Cancun

Houston is so much better.

Racial relations are legit way better in SA and ATX than most of the country. I think large military population has a lot to do with this.

I think you might be on to something there, actually. It does make a difference.

I like San Antonio. I go over there for buisness on occasion. Better golf courses than Houston and less humid. It's close to Hill country and there is great deer hunting not too far south of San Antonio.
I've had pretty good food there and had a good time every time I've gone out.
There are lots of parks and things to do with a family. I'd have no problem moving there.
The negative I've always heard is that it's hard to "break in to society" there, but I think that's probably true everywhere.
Alamo heights is pretty nice or up toward Boerne. The south side of San Antonio is not very nice. It's like all cities- nice parts/bad parts.

Don't know why SA gets a lot of hate on this board. I lived there two years and loved it. Lived in Converse/Universal City and commuted downtown for work. The suggestions of where to live from other posters are good too.
