Possible Snow Showers in the mid/south LA......

on New Years Eve!! 
Per Weather.com, many cities in middle LA are showing 60% chance of snow showers the night of Dec 31 and many locations in south LA are showing 60% chance of rain with temps near freezing. Still many days out though.
I know we've had snow on Christmas but don't remember any on New Years eve.

Weather Underground has the low on New Years Eve in the mid 30's.

Baton Rouge had snow on NYE in 2001. Remembered being out of town and hearing about it.

I remember walking out of the superdome and there being light flurries. It wasn't much in New Orleans but Baton Rouge had some on the ground when I got back in town the next day.

I remember driving back from the game in it .. By the time we hit Gonzales .. It was coming down in flakes .. Yard was covered when I got home ..

My wife and I left the Dome the night of the Sugar Bowl and it was sleeting in NOLA. We got back to BTR and the snow was coming down hard. We couldn't get over the over passes to stay on I 10 so we couldn't get back to laffy taffy. So we stayed in BTR at my FIL's house. The snow was completely unexpected
