The Oktoberfest is nothing ground breaking, but it's fine for what it is. The bands are very meh, but the beer and food are good and the weather has been really nice the past couple weekends. Not a bad way to spend a night if you have nothing else to do.

It’s one of my favorite events. I went twice last weekend and will go again next weekend. Love The Brats they are awesome.

The Brats are fricking fun. They are great and are now performing all over the country. The rest aren’t good though

Is this a joke
It’s Oktoberfest and you have to pay to get in. What do you think

Went last night. It was packed and the lines were long but still a good time. I'm hungover currently

We went last night with some neighbors. We posted up under some oak trees with some chairs. Weather was great. It was a nice evening.
We made some new friends, had pretzels, kraut, and brats. I lost count of how many steins of awesome German brews I had.
I may have done the chicken dance.

Every single person we interacted with, worker or guest, was very nice.
Strange in its oddness these days really.

You have to pay to get in and they play polka music, which are both kryptonite to certain groups.
It was a great event. Weather was great. Nearly zero percentage of trashy people of any ethnicity.

Oktoberfest and Greek Fest are the two best lowkey annual fests in NOLA.
Also be in the look out for the 2nd annual BlueGrass fest being held at the Deutsches Haus in the spring. Another solid under the radar event.

Oktoberfest in New Orleans is one of my old man yells at cloud events.
It’s fine in its current form. It was absolute magic in the old location on galvez before they destroyed the neighborhoods for the new hospitals.
The building was historic and intimate. People were absolutely hammered. And the music was less big stage and more fun and games.
RIP to marching to the hogan’s hero’s theme song.

They also have a great Christkindlmarkt, a Christmas event.
