Haha, that sounds amazing! I'm definitely going to try that.

why do americans hate sedans and coupes so much lately?

Coupes just aren’t that practical for most people. At least not in places where you can park off-street, which is most of America.

As for sedans, I think it’s because crossovers feel like they have a lot more space - even if the difference isn’t actually that big. I think a lot of folks want the space that comes with a full-size SUV but either can’t afford one or can’t drive them because of overall size. So they buy a crossover instead.

And to be honest, crossovers aren’t a bad compromise between a sedan and an SUV. More comfortable to get in and out than a sedan and they ride higher so you can see better.

Having a 911 as my only car should be interesting.

I rocked a 911 turbo as my only car for about a year.

I quickly realized why most people have them as their 2nd or third car.

Mine was a bit older though. I'm sure a 992 is a lot easier to live with everyday. Luckily I was able to snag another one as my 3rd car.

See better?

Crossovers are a terrible substitute for a sports sedan…maybe Porsches are better than our Volvo though. May as well let the car drive if the feel is going to be that muted.

A truck and a crossover lol

My first turbo was an interesting time because it just wasn’t practical enough to be my only car.

Now I get aggravated because I don’t get to drive my second one enough. It’s a rough life haha

Sounds like you have pretty much everything covered now, I'm jealous!

Rough life indeed!

I briefly contemplated picking up something like a Ford Bronco to go with my 992, but I just don't see myself driving it enough to justify having a second car. Maybe one day!

Look at some of the track tests of the Macan when it was released and tell me it's muted. The handling on it is insane for what it is.

I have no experience with Porsche’s version of electronic steering, but I’m sure it’s better than Geely’s.

I could see a Macan being fast, but in a point and shoot kind of way…more so than a carry smooth speed way. I’m sure there are drivers who can make that thing look very good though.

I want to floor the vehicle and change lanes between cars going 80 mph, I’m easy. I don’t want a herky-jerky, wobbly POS that might flip and kill us all.

Macan is a great car. I would drive one without reservation. I have a Cayenne S right now, and one of the big reasons I went with the Cayenne is that the interior is one generation ahead of the Macan. That's about to get fixed with the mid model cycle the Macan is getting for 2022, I believe.

I do drive fast though.

I use point and shoot as the RC car racing term, that’s the most expensive cars I’ve ever raced, and there were two types of ways to make your way around the track (depending on what you brought…single speed 2 strokes or dual speed 4 stroke).

A turbo charged 4 cylinder is the 2 stroke in my dumb-arse analogy.

I love my Porsche sedan. Might be a Sedan but drives like a 911 and looks badass (except electric).

They knocked it out of the park with the Taycan. I can't imagine anyone choosing a Tesla over that unless it is just because they can't afford it.

The Macan Turbo is fast. Not sort of fast. Very fast. It can also do that lane change at 80 mph in a blink of an eye with not a shred of unsafeness. Seriously, look at some of the handling videos when it came out. It's insane how well it handles for what it is.

Cayenne is hands down the most fun SUV you can drive. Macan is not an SUV. Panamara is the most uncomfortable car I’ve ever driven.

Also a great handler in snow and ice, and very comfortable as a road car. Comfort in general is exceptional and the adaptive air suspension is as good or better than any you'll find.
