Eagles helmet. Coach is just trying to teach the kids how to handle being in the stands surrounded by Philly fans.

OK, everyone line up for the broken hand drill. When I blow the whistle, punch the other guy's helmet.

If you want to teach them to fight, take them to a boxing gym. You want to do Oklahoma drill to instill toughness, cool. This is just stupid.

oh well

ftr dont agree with this bullshite, i dont even think there should be tackle football until 7th grade. lends itself to a lot of phsyco dads/coaches out there that think this is how you toughen kids up when all it really does is force them to hate football before ever having the chance to play real football.

Probably should have led with that

Random fights during practice is one thing

The video in OP is completely different

agree. it may be a little over the top, but those boys are having fun. they're small children and can't hurt each other with all those pads on.

right...just a slice of americana right?

i mean if you dont have the kids fighting and running gassers until they throw up...is it even football?

jesus christ some of yall are retarded and not everyone of those kids are having fun. we run more athletes out of football before they even get to play the game than any other sport. all for some dumbass dad and his mancho thats the way its done attitude.

frickign stupid.

Having fun aka telling them to actually fight that’s why they grow up to fantasize killing each other

People are way too sensitive…almost no way a kid gets hurt doing that and it’s either this or rap…I’d pick this 10 out of 10 times over the alternative for my son.

i grew up boxing from the age of 8. i've never fantasized about killing people. i knew what fighting was, and when it wasn't prudent.

My son would absolutely be a QB or WR if he weren’t a kicker. He plays schools in very poor areas of MS, we had to go through metal detectors and get sanded before the game Friday. Not a single person in the stands or on the opposing sideline was white. Those kids played with passion, and I doubt they were lucky enough to have a helicopter dad like you. They have to fight.

Hope I don't get a pink slip for saying this, but if these were white kids and white coaches in a ritzy suburb, it would be an effective drill to most on here.

Sort of.

A few of the kids were doing it right.
A few learned that punching a helmet is fricking stupid.
Those I don’t mind.

And then there’s the one kid who’s dragging the other around by his facemask.
