Pool sinkhole swallows man

Looks like the water was already down to ankle level. Were they just partying while the water was sinking fast?

Judging on the size of the hole, I bet that pool drained very fast. But yeah, I would have been crawling my butt out of there, not looking into the portal to hell.

I agree, I think it drained fast and the last ones there were probably trying to sort it out and figure out how to get to their friends that disappeared.
I imagine at first they never conceived of a sinkhole, but just a leak and the liner started floating and became a bubble.

Sinkholes legit terrify me.
What the frick was that one dude thinking staying so close to the hole like that? I assume someone had already gone down and he was looking for them/trying to help, but dude that water is going FAST and sucking everything around it down. And you've already seen that the pool flooring isn't well-supported. He's lucky he didn't disappear too.
I'd have left the whole damn place and gotten as far from that as I could...not just hung out sitting on the pool ledge...or worse: still standing in it.

If you look closely at the beginning of the clip, it looks like someone is trying to get out -- at least I think I can see an arm splashing when the one guy walks over as if to help.

Speaking of sink holes. I’ve seen one. Pulled a man from a sink hole in New Orleans. He was using a jackhammer during the Canal St streetcar project. Ground gave out, sucked him down while holding the jackhammer, which hit a high voltage underground line. He cooked from the inside out. Jackhammer melted to the size of a baseball. Just a crazy sequence of events.
