Willie was great but didn’t have close to the amount of competition that modern day players have. Tournaments were way smaller with considerably less overall high end talent. Players like Mike Sigel and Earl Strickland faced a different level of competition. With that said, all of the greats have their specialty so the argument of who is or isn’t the greatest will never be unanimous.

I was extremely good, playing 6-8 hours every day as an adult. I started playing at 4 years old. Played BCA and APA leagues. I haven’t played in about 10 years but I could grab a cue and hold my own in any bar scene. Love the game and competition.

I’ll play you one handed and shoot behind my back. I used to practice it.

Was always an Efren Reyes fan. Easy going demeanor with fabulous shot making skills. Kick shots were top notch

I miss it on espn.

Mosconi was a fantastic straight pool player. He could make long runs chipping away at the stack at one end of the table, but....

He didn't have to move his cue ball all over the table like you would in a rotation type game.

Hall was not only a phenomenal 9-ball player, but played a very strong One Pocket game as well.

Back in the day, friend of mine would play him a grand a rack. Buddy told him if he just made his ball hit the rail, he wins. Didn't get many chances. I ask him why he would waste his money like that. Told me for the experience playing him. He ended up being a pretty good player.

Mizerak

GOAT

Keith Macready walked into the pool hall as a young kid with raggedy jeans and holes in his tennis shoes. Challenged mineral to a session - 5 ahead for 3 thousand. Mizerak declined. Some of mizeraks backers insisted he take the foolish kids money, so they posted the cash and mizerak broke the balls in the first rack. Had to rollout on the three ball and macready stepped up, ran out the rack. And the next four. Mizerak never got to the table again. Session over. Macready walked out.

I watched Johnny Archer play a couple of weeks ago. He showed up to a local nine ball tournament and won it (of course)
