Yawn.

No you aren't. You already "know" exactly what happened and have let your emotions make up your mind for you.

So the cops are going to let her walk up to them and stand there so she can 'slash' them?

NEO? OK Mr Fatty McFatass. If these cops can't out maneuver an 87 year old woman, perhaps they don't need to be a cop. Maybe a Walmart greeter would be more in line with their abilities.

How did you want them to handle it then? Would your level of outrage change if the headline were: "GA police tackle 87 year old woman with knife"

I would argue that tackeling her would have been much more dangerous to her health.

I think using a taser on an 87-year old woman could be considered lethal.

You know, I'm going to reserve judgment until we get all the facts. If the police would have taken her down with a tackle then put her in a choke hold then people here would complain about that too. Police are really in a no win situation. If it were my grandma she would have been in for an arse whipping when she got home. We really have the millenials to blame for letting the grannies get out of control.

For tasing an old harmless woman? That’s weak. If you can’t disarm her, you are a pussy and shouldn’t be in law enforcement.

To be fair, only a quarter of gun shot victims die, too.

Does that make a firearm less than lethal?

They could have tried talking to her, and if she's hard of hearing, which she probably is, they could have tried yelling. I swear I have no idea how you people make it through every day life.

Did the land she was on belong to the person who called 911? She was in a wooded area near the boys and girls club. I know that doesn't matter because she was still trespassing, but that's not why that person called 911. It seems like they thought she was a threat.

She looks like she has one foot in the grave. If she starts coming towards you, with a knife, go inside and close the door in case she doesn't break a hip on her way. If you are inside and she comes to the door and seems to be coming after you, then call 911.

But if you see an old as frick woman in a wooded area, with a knife and a bag, her intent is pretty much.. trying to score some blackberries or something and is using the knife to cut through some weeds.

You think that's funny? Tasers have caused cardiac arrest in healthy adults. There is no such thing as non-lethal force or non-lethal weapons. There are only less lethal options, and if you don't realize this you are too stupid to engage. I'll just leave this out there for people who might be mislead by your idiocy.
