He had stated that if one more hostage escapes he would start executing people.

Saw on a reddit thread that the guy apparently threatened to start shooting if more hostages escaped. Then I think a few more escaped.
Channel 7 news (in Australia I guess?) is saying 2 dead and 3 critical. Don't know if that includes the hostage taker.

BBC is just as bad I'm sure. Directors for these live news events suck arse. They keep showing the same two SWAT guys making hand motions at each other outside the cafe and the robot going into the building. Give me a live shot with a PiP of the highlights.

If you are in there as a hostage and he tells you this, do you take the chance to escape if it is presented to you?
