Hey guys,
A quick update. We arrived in Houston on Sunday at my aunt and uncle's house and we met with the doctor and nurse on Monday. They did not have everything in time to render a second opinion, but my Mom had a ct scan of her pelvis, abdomen, chest and neck. We are awaiting the phone call from her doctor at MD Anderson and hope and pray they have good news. I couldn't thank my aunt and uncle enough for what they have done for us.
Thanks,
Matt

Hey guys,
An update. My Mom got her results back from her CT Scans and the doctors told her it was too early to tell if the chemo is working. MD Anderson recommended two different chemo treatments. One with two drugs and one with two different drugs. One of the combinations may cause my Mom's hair to fall out, so she may try the other combination, if one is no better than the other. Like I said, my hair is coming off if that happens. We had to wait two weeks to get the results back, which I thought was terrible. Anyhow, my Mom starts next week. I am going to get her a portable dvd player and maybe an mp3 player, to pass the time while she is getting her treatment. I continue to pray each day and night, so I hope this treatment will work for her. It has been over 2 months, so I hope in another 2 months, she will be on her way to recover. Again, thanks to all for the continued prayers. My family appreciates it.
Thanks,
Matt

Hey guys,
I have an update. My Mom is currently undergoing chemotherapy with Topotecan and Cisplatin. She had her first treatment 3 weeks ago and has to go again tomorrow for three days, just as she did 3 weeks ago. The first week was tough, as she had to get used to the chemo, but she is now taking anti nausea medicine everyday and she has felt much better the last two weeks. She has gotten out a lot more and doing things she couldn't do just a few months ago. I believe the next few weeks she will have another ct scan and see where we are at. I am hoping that the lesions are all gone. I went and saw her this weekend with my girlfriend and her two kids. I try to see her at least once a month, but more like twice a month. She lives 2.5 hours from me, so it is hard to see her more often, with doing things around the house and work. I still continue to pray and hope that something great will happen for her and the cancer will go into remission. Either way, I am prepared to do what I have to do short term. To all of the Tiger nation here, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and kind words.
Thanks again,
Matt
