glad to hear that....hope your grandmother is holding out as well....

She took the news better than I thought, although she doesn't know all of the details, but as I said earlier, only God knows when our time is up, so no one really knows. I am handling it better too, maybe because I don't feel I am hiding anything anymore, as I was to my grandmother. I am holding out for hope and will continue to pray.

The feeling is mutual. And you won't believe this, but the following day I found a bunch of the Strawberry Abita at my local Sav A Center. Just my luck, but I am not complaining.

Thanks again,

Matt

I have some good and bad news. My Mom and brother went to Richmond, VA for the Busch and Nascar races this weekend. They got to see the Busch race, but the Nascar race was rained out and my Mom wasn't feeling well enough to see the race on Sunday. They were set to leave, but my Mom was feeling nauseated and she didn't feel comfortable getting on a plane, so my brother took her to the hospital to get some iv fluids and some medicine for the nausea. He called last night and told me she was 100% better, so they stayed last night in VA and will be flying back today. I was all set to drive up to see her today, since my birthday is tomorrow, but my water pump is giving me problems and my ac went out yesterday. If it was just me, I would not worry about it, but my girlfriend and her two kids live with me, so I got two window units to solve the problem temporarily and got a call into the water pump and ac contractors. I am hoping I can get this taken care of this week so I can see my Mom this weekend.

I continue to pray and keep hope alive. Thanks again for all of the prayers.

Just an update. I saw my Mom last weekend and spent Mother's Day with her. Her last treatments were this past Wednesday. We are scheduled to go to MD Anderson on Monday June 4 for a second opinion. We are fairly confident that the diagnosis is correct, but want to see if they have any different treatment options, in the case the radiation and chemotherapy don't work, but I am praying they have. I didn't realize John Edwards's wife has the same condition, although she had breast cancer, not cervical cancer, but the cancer spread to her bones. I will be in Houston for a week possibly, as they may have to retest my Mom. We are staying with my aunt and uncle and they live 10 minutes from MDA. To all, thanks for the prayers and please continue to pray.

Regards,

you can rest assured that the entire tiger nation that reads this thread is praying for your mom's full recovery , whether they post or not. MD Anderson does miracles every day, so it is not unreasonable to expect another one.
best wishes.

Chemo and radiation did not work for my mom. She had the brain tumor removed twice in 4 months. She went to MD anderson and they have her on some type of drug that what remains of the original tumor is shrinking. They do wonders there. Goodluck and God Bless. I know its hard on you. I do not think I had a good night sleep til we got the results back that the treatment was working.

You remain in my prayers.

I will pray for your mom as well.

We just found out yesterday that my mom has a golf ball sized malignant tumor on her lung. So I know how it goes.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers. I have been praying as well day and night and I know my prayers will be answered. We hope that the treatments are working and that my Mom can return to having a normal life. My concern is that hopefully she will be pain free and won't have to be heavily medicated, but I won't breathe easy until we get the results back to see if the tumors are gone or still there. I guess we will find out in a few weeks.

Thanks again to all of you.

Yes. The water pump just needed a new hose. The air conditioner needed the coil to be pulled and cleaned.

Thanks for the prayers.
