Good luck but this part of the story "... brought home a stray cat about a year ago that we did not know was pregnant" is nearly universal with people who find and keep cats. I think momma cats are at their most friendly when they are looking for a warm home to move into to have their litter.
Did the mom stay? I bet she beat feet as fast as she could. I've had it happen to me...

I would take them if I could. Twice in the last decade I have adopted a pair of bonded kitten siblings. The first pair both died at 8 of kidney failure. We got a couple of new ones almost 2 years ago and they are great. I get a lot of joy and satisfaction from them.
I don’t understand people who joke about the cruel killing of animals.

What a horrible human being. I hope she is enjoying hell right now.

It's sad some people are so sick around here, but expected. I am somewhat encouraged it isn't as worse at it could be though.

The feral cat population in this country is out of control. Thanks for contributing to the problem.

Re-Home??? Do you mean "adopt"??
Today's need to invent new words in wearisome.

Ha. Had a little orange tabby show up a couple of years ago on a Saturday night. Starving and crying her head off. Thought it was a he because 80% of orange cats are male. You guessed it. I got the one female.
She pops up in my back yard and proceeds to make best friends with my dog. Only time my Cavalier gets mean is when she protects her from other cats.
Suddenly she is pregnant and I realize Heathcliff is not a Heathcliff. Great. Wound up having four kittens. Fortunately, three friends had recently lost their cats to old age so they all went to good homes.
She was real skittish with me until the kittens. That's when she started trusting me. Totally housebroken, no litter box. Sleeps on the bed next to my dog every night.
She earns her keep. Has killed 5 moles that I know of. Moles that were tearing up my back yard. Also kills squirrels and birds. Hell, that little creature left a headless squirrel at my back door one day. She also keeps the attic mice away as well.

Bruh, this woman was 10x the man you are. She used to fry chicken every Sunday, she would buy the actual chicken at the country store down the road. She would take that sucka and just chop its head off and let it run around for a bit.. the nervous I guess in the chicken would cause it to do that.
As a kid, we thought that shite was hilarious, but with the cats man.. They would get overpopulated quick if you didn't do away with the kittens.
The other day, it might have been on here, I saw a youtube video of a jaguar that was up on a huge fallen tree branch with a baby boar in her mouth and the momma boar was on the ground going insane and people in the comments were saying "why couldn't the camera man help?" bruh, shite is real in those jungle and farm streets.
