Hold up, I can't get over the fact that people land GIV's at Lakeview. I thought it was a relatively small airport.

6900 hundred foot runway a G4 needs 3300 feet. They have decent FBO services, and the new terminal is nice.

Lakeview is plenty big enough for a GIV.

Actually it was in NO. But we went to church that Sunday before the crash in that same neiborhood. Spooky.

Wait a minute. Now you're telling us you were in the city but drove to Kenner to go to church on Sunday of your honeymoon?

LOL. Jeeeez. Lie much?

Where did you take her on your anniversary, to Gretna?

I would assume alive since they know to look for the two males. The crash was reported by a towboat near the scene that picked up the female. I caught the initial call for Coast Guard assistance.

They did in fact rescue the female as is being reported. However, to his question, recovered does mean deceased. They misreported earlier...or mislabeled the rescue. You recover "things", with a body being in that category. You rescue living things....humans, pets, wildlife, etc.

Was just clarifying...glad they found the female alive.

100% correct. I was just relaying what I was hearing on Ch. 16 VHF. All the reports were coming from a towboat captain and a yacht owner. I didn't really want to go one way or the other without confirmation in case a reader knew someone on a flight out of New Orleans.

I grew up in Kenner not far from the path they take in the north south run way. I was always s little paranoid about one hitting the house.

Gretna?

Who are you, Bill Gates? Gretna is too damned expensive.

He took her to Harvey.

Recently got my license and have been becoming more engaged with the NOLA flying community. One of the guys I know that works at the airport is reporting that it was a Flight Academy plane (formerly Blue Dot).
