Seems like a large debris field for such a small plane.

It hit at least one car, there was a giant explosion with fire lasting approx 5 minutes

That is a very long debris field........that seems to indicate a shallow angle of decent......I will be interested to see what happened. Very sad. Prayers for all.

It could have been much worse. Surge just opened right by there and I am sure it is full of people.
RIP to some good people.

Hire a professional pilot.
Not an indictment on the pilot in this. We don’t know what happened.

Yeah that’s a pretty busy road. One of the easier ways to get to Verot from Kaliste Saloom.

The business jet rental companies (netjets etc) are like flying commercial as far as plane maintenance goes.

This was a professional pilot.

Trying to land in that field presumably. But clipped something at post office

Time of ACFT MSHAP , Tower had 3/4sm visibility with verticle visibility of 200 feet which is VLIFR. Very low instrument flight rules.
Recent metars now indicate 7-8 miles vsby with ceilings at 600 feet which is IFR.

Looks like the power line along the road.

Big difference between larger private jets and small puddle jumpers that are owned/operated by hobbyists or non-professional pilots. If you were flying on your own Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream, etc. you’d be a happy (lucky) guy.
Not saying this was the case here, but there is a huge difference between the professional who flies for a Living and the guy who only goes to football games on weekends.

Terrible news . Right in the middle of Everything there too. Prayers to the family and friends of all involved. And today’s reminder that we are ALL on the clock.

Hey Janky you a pilot around here too?

No, just like planes. My business partner has a plane so we no several owners in the area.

My parents live about 300 yards away from the crash site off Beadle St. They say they heard a loud boom and the power immediately went out then a second explosion, to which they went outside and saw the smoke and fire. They think the plane hit a power line (first explosion) then impact with ground was second explosion. Prayers to everyone involved and thankful they turned that plane to the left or it was headed right into my parents neighborhood
