SEC Network just reported it was Steve's daughter-in-law, Carley McCord. Holly Rowe interviewed Coach O and he said Steve would coach today.

Recognize her from her job with the saints. She had such a beautiful smile and always seemed so happy.

I remember hearing Carley on 98.1 years back. I don’t even know these people but in such a state of shock today. Thinking of Coach E and the Vincent family.

Depends on the degree of the burns and what internal damage was done from heat or smoke inhalation.

Yeah, mine was just the general rule. The complete version is age + % of coverage from 100 = % chance of survival.

There are many factors that contribute to the real % chance of survival.

We treated every one like they had 100% chance of survival.

It's good to hear from someone that made it.

Carley was a bright, spunky, absolute one of the most driven human beings I’ve ever met. She never ceased to crack me up with whatever she was thinking. This is an incredible loss for not only this very precious family, but the entire LSU and Louisiana sports community. I kept waiting to see the pregnancy announcements because she always said she was gonna spit 5 out back to back. Me and Kaleigh liked to smirk and think to ourselves that she would change her mind after the first couple.

Shocking. We will miss Carley and while the McCord’s are strong people, they will need all the love in the world to carry them through this. Her parents were so proud of her. Tracy and Karen couldn’t talk to me for 2 minutes without wanting to talk about what Carley was up to.

Damn that’s horrific:

Details on the reason for the crash have not been released but witnesses say that the plane, which is a small 8 passenger plane, hit a power line while trying to make an emergency landing.

"When that airplane tilted, it hit that post first then hit that suburban and jeep...then it just blew up," a witness told KATC.

The Lafayette Fire Department's Chief Robert Beniot confirmed that the plane took off from the Lafayette airport en route to Atlanta and crashed in the area.

A resident in the area says that the weather may have been a factor in the crash.

"He was crashing, he was going down. I think he got inverted in the fog and couldn’t see," nearby resident Terry Lavergne said " Once he came out of the fog he wasn't high at all. I think he tried to throttle up and by the time he throttled up, he was facing the ground. He hit hard."

One of the deceased was a high school classmate of mine.

From what I am hearing, the survivor is the son of another classmate of mine.

I have not heard that he has passed.

In a time of tragedy that has affected lots of people, why post something so ignorant ? If your family or wife just died, would it be appropriate to make jokes about who owned the plane ? C’mon dude, really

You must be from Mamou. Buck visited with Wade and his wife at Lourdes. He is still alive and critical.

I’ve flown on that plane a few times and knew the pilot well. Sad day
