I need to run something through a checker. All the ones I find are cutting off at 600 words (or they suck) and I need more space.

Anyone?

Are you about to bust a student or just checking your own work?

I don't want to turn it in. I want to check it for cheating

You post to turn it in. Not final submission. It'll come back with a similarity index.

Well if you're busting a student I was hoping for some details. I always find it funny when people get busted for plagiarism.

It was easier when you could copy the World Book word for word with no issues.

Cut and paste it here. I'll run it through Turnitin and give you the report.

Lotty da! Rich boy over here could afford a world book and had literate teachers! Good for you.

Some of us went to public schools and copied the back of cereal boxes for a solid C-.

Those things used to give me diarrhea. I was worried it would find something I mysteriously plagiarized.

Do the first 600 words at one, the next 600 at another, etc.

You don't need to check every sentence. Just do what I suggested and see whether the samples raise any red flags. If they do, investigate further and bust the student if necessary.

Cut it up into 600 word sections.

Or just use your gut.

Are you that dumb that you need to plagiarize? You can't write 10 pages, double spaced about Catcher in the Rye?
