I am absolutely shocked. Until this point, I've been doing exactly what the American left has asked me to, which is to have no preconceived notion of what the suspect would look like, nor what his name would sound like.

I think the likelihood that they find more bombs today is pretty high.

The news this am on the raido talked about this. Stated they had a suspect they wanted to question. He could be armed and dangerous. Naturalized citizen, blah blah blah
BUT WOULD NOT GIVE HIS NAME
Maybe they are now but this am on the radio, they did not

It is so funny to see CNN/MSNBC try their hardest to make sure everyone watching this weekend knew that this was NOT terrorism, only an "intentional act". Now they are having to do the one thing they didn't want to do is call it terrorism with the culprit being muslim.

If CNN doesn't mention the name of the terror suspect.....it's probably because it destroyed their narrative.

As law enforcement gathered information and identified a suspect, it became apparent that it was indeed a terrorist attack, so everyone responded appropriately by calling it terrorism.

Journalists are in the business of reporting facts, not jumping to conclusions. Why do you perceive this as a problem?
edit: one could argue that it was obviously terrorism from the beginning, because why else would someone plant bombs in crowded areas? I'm sympathetic to that argument--it makes sense. But nevertheless, that does assume a motive. The only thing known for certain was that it was an intentional act--these were devices planted by someone, for what was technically still an unknown motive. It wasn't an accidental gas explosion or anything like that. Only after a suspect and motive were identified did law enforcement finally confirm that it was terrorism.

quote:CNN mentioned the name within 60 seconds of the cell phone alert that got sent out in the NYC area. I was getting ready for work when my phone started going off like it does when there's an Amber alert. It showed the name of the suspect, said to call 911 if you see him, and said to find his picture in the media, so I turned on my TV. CNN flashed a breaking news update and they showed the guy's photo and name.

You guys are really too paranoid about CNN. I have a lot of problems with their journalism, like I do with pretty much all media outlets these days, but they are not nearly as bad as you portray them.

Terrorism can be domestic or foreign. If there was an intentional act committed to cause harm and fear, then it is terrorism. The mayor and media said all of those things, except calling a spade a spade

I am talking about them waiting hours after the FBI released his name to report it.
