Sure. California law may not allow an assignment of a wrongful death claim (Louisiana doesn’t), and the life insurance policy may have an offset provision regarding any possible third-party liability. The payout may be reduced by any recovery she could have obtained from a negligent or otherwise responsible third party.

Oh and a post script to my previous post one of the S76's I work on was operated by the Queens Flight (as in Queen of England) in VVIP role. 8 seats like Kobe's aircraft. Mine has a CVR, optional equipment because the FAA says less than 10 seats a CVR is not required.

Yep, and with 10 seats or less, you can maintain it under an AAIP rather than a CAMP inspection program if you wish to go that route.

We live in a litigious society. It’s always better to try to get in front of any potential lawsuits.
