One can only guess what Robb was telling him that Johnson’s advisors weren’t.

His wife was a world class whore dog and had already given him a "Dear John" letter before that photograph was taken.
No kidding! I'm blown away the Colonel had to give this hose bag 43% of his pension.

Despite outward appearances, the reunion was an unhappy one for Stirm. Three days before he arrived in the United States, the same day he was released from captivity, Stirm received a Dear John letter from his wife Loretta informing him that their marriage was over. Stirm later learned that Loretta had been with other men throughout his captivity and had received marriage proposals from three of them. In 1974, the Stirms divorced and Loretta remarried, but he was still ordered to provide her with 43% of his military retirement pay once he retired from the Air Force,[8] although the divorce judge stated that much evidence was presented to the court of Loretta's infidelity while Stirm was a prisoner. Stirm was later promoted to colonel and retired from the Air Force in 1977.[9] Loretta died on August 13, 2010, from cancer.[10]
Here's her obituary:

The following couple of posts will contain photos from US Military mechanics training at Harley-Davidson in preparation of WWI in 1918
I remember watching an episode of a show on History Channel, think it was called “The Brands that Made America”. This episode was about Harley-Davidson. Something interesting in the show was how Harley and Indian fared in WWI. Before WWI, Indian was a much bigger company than Harley-Davidson with a much larger market share. Both companies dove deep into producing motorcycles for the war effort. But Indian was the primary motorcycle supplier for the army. I think they made something like twice the number of motorcycles for the army as did Harley. Basically Indian dedicated almost their entire production capacity to the military. When the war ended though, it caught Indian flat-footed, while Harley still had a good portion of its production capacity dedicated to the civilian market. The result was Harely grew exponentially while Indian struggled to recover and eventually went belly up after World War II. Interesting to think that if not for a World War I, the iconic American motorcycle could have been the Indian instead of the Harley.

He's mentioned in Ford vs Ferrari.
Was married to Jill St. John prior to this one.

Looked up that episode called "Wally the Lifeguard" and the gals name is Cindy Carol in the credits.
Cheryl Holdridge did have parts in 8 episodes of the "Leave it to Beaver" shows between 59-63 and looks very much like the above young lady.

The Rebel Gas Company was based out of Whistler, Alabama, and had 25 Rebel Gas stations and another 75 locations branded as Dixieland. They were located in Alabama, southern Mississippi and and the Florida panhandle. They were bought out in 1964, and by the late ’60s, the Rebel brand was phased out, though many Dixieland stations continued to operate under the Dixieland name.

Back when I could still ride, a buddy of mine had an Indian Scout.
He let me take it out one day for a ride. I have to say, if I could still ride, my next bike would have been a Scout.
