Alright, Mauser. What catalogue is that from? Those were the ornaments that hung on our trees for most of the Christmases I remember from my childhood. There are several of these that are on my tree even this year. I would have the whole set of them were it not for my sister pilfering the ornament box and absconding with them to Texas.
Thank you for that post. It's a most excellent way to be reminded of wonderful Christmases past.

I've been to that location more times than i can count. And honestly, I could not tell you what it looked like back then.

Picture with the guy and two girls around the keg looks like AI. One of the girls hands is messed up, the guys ear is strange, and those cups look weird. Can we just post real pictures here...

Hi, they're a good memory from my childhood too. My brother still has some. I'm pretty sure you can buy vintage Christmas ornaments online and they're likely Chinese knock-offs.

I had to do a double take at Elizabeth Montgomery in the Christmas get up. That photo looks exactly like my daughter (no pics, if only because that's the obligatory pre-emptive declaration here).

I worked for a sheet metal company way back then when he was opening stores all over the N.O. area and we installed the A/C duct work and eventually got into installing the hoods/exhaust system and fire suppression systems in them and also some of the Church's Fried Chicken venues.

70's kid.. My parents still have glass ornaments from the top sets
you posted...what I wouldn't give to have just one of the ornaments from my grandmothers tree..I still clearly remember the Blowmold Santas and reindeer she had that were covered in fuzzy fabric and the Red blow mold candles that she set on the front porch every Christmas. Those were the best times indeed

Sledder Gunnar Kaasen and his lead sled dog (Balto) photographed in 1925 after they delivered 300,000 units of diphtheria antitoxin to the town of Nome, Alaska during a deadly epidemic that primarily targeted children.

An aerial recon photograph of British (left) and German (right) trenches in the Artois region of France in July of 1917. Note the complexity of the German trenches compared to the British ones. This was due primarily to the expectation of Allied leaders that their trenches were more temporary.
