The infamous Mel Lyman, photographed by the almost as infamous Diane Arbus. Ironically she makes him look more normal than she usually does with her subjects.

Your post reminded me of this news clipping I had (which I eventually remembered to post in response):

Considering most of her subject matter were cross dressers and the mentally retarded it was easy to portray Lyman as normal.

Top photo: Famous photograph of U.S. Army soldiers from the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division moving ashore on Easy Red Sector of Omaha Beach on D+1 (June 7, 1944).
Bottom photo: That same area in the present day.
Fun fact, the top photograph was actually staged for Allied propaganda purposes. See how the shorter column angles away from its longer brother? It quite clearly creates the letter "V" - as in Victory.

I never did sharpen any of my NFL pencils because I only wanted to write with the Miami Dolphins one and at the same time I didn't want to use it up.
I was the same way all the way through fourth grade. I would use them up going from least favorite to saving my favorites until last. Houston Oilers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Saints were always the last three used up and in that order. Still have two Saints pencils that have never been sharpened and half a Bengals pencil. The erasers have long since become hard and brittle though.
