1928: The New York City Pioneers of American Industries was held at the Hotel Astor. Those honored from left to right were Harvey Firestone, Julius Rosenwald (owner of Sears, Roebuck and Company), Thomas Edison, Thomas Lipton, Charles Schwab, Henry Ford, Walter Chrysler, George Eastman and Thomas E. Wilson (Wilson Sporting Goods).
