why did they crop you out? If you were part of that moment, they took your favorite picture and cropped you out? seems like a dick move.

sorry for your loss

If I remember correctly, his friend hadn't died but was still in a coma. I'm guessing that friend died in the past few days.

I mean, what else can you do besides RA?

You're going to cause more problems by butting up against someone who wants to poke around in here.

It's best to ignore that.

I agree people that know the poster IRL should reach out though.

My college roommate was supposed to take a guy home from a get together (don't want to say party because there was no drinking involved) one winter night back in high school. My buddy decided to stay later and his friend decided to get a ride from somebody else. The car that the friend got in ended up hitting a patch of ice and wrecking, which ended up killing the friend.

Without knowing your situation, it sounds fairly similar. My roommate is one of the "manliest" guys I know and I never see him get emotional over anything. Even now ~6-7 years later he still blames himself (obviously not his fault) and he breaks down every time it gets brought up.

Even if it was your fault, people make mistakes and sometimes pay the ultimate price. All you can do is your best.

Death will leave you standin and cryin

shite sucks man. talking about it, or typing, can be therapeutic. Hold the memories close, find a way to let out the pain, keep venting.

Wish this would have been the first thread I clicked on today. This is what it's all about. Love. Nothing else matters. Nothing. So sorry.

Some Buddhists believe that this kind of pain is the result of craving and the reaction one has when cravings are not fulfilled.

The only way to avoid the kind of existential pain you are feeling is to completely and finally let go of all desire. It's not very "human," but still the best solution I have heard to deal with this sort of thing if the emotion is too much.

Good luck and I am sorry you have experienced this part of life.

Hang in there OP. Keep your head up and keep living life the best you can. I lost my sister and my best friend both within months of each other, both to car crashes. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about things I could have done differently. I can't relate to your specific situation, but I do know your friend wouldn't want you living with that weight on your shoulders.
