Serious question, not trying to flame --is it difficult controlling the speed of a pickup truck? Is the accelerator stiff and hard to modulate? I ask bc I've observed that pu trucks seem to be either going way too fast or way too slow. And I've had the experience of pickups suddenly appearing right behind me, then back off. I suppose it could be the driver just.being an a-hole, but I know several ppl who drive pickups who aren't... which leads me to believe it's difficult to maintain a speed.

Ive absolutely noticed this too. They tend to be driving way faster than everybody else but they often accelerate from a stop like theyre Flinstoning it. I havent figured it out.

One constant though, Dodge Ram drivers are ALWAYS douchebag assholes.

Males in their 20's driving pickups seem to want to be as obnoxious as humanly possible.

The bigger the truck the faster they drive in my observation. Also like to tailgate. Truck drivers tend to be aggressive drivers.

Had a big Diesel Ram behind me on the causeway yesterday that didn’t give me half a car length the entire bridge.

I will say, anybody that drives a chevy avalanche is the biggest douchebag driver of all.

I did a study and 96.3 % of all avalanche drivers suck arse

Plenty of a-holes on the road, but the size of the vehicle does play a part. The bigger the vehicle the faster you have to go to feel like you’re moving. I drive a standard half ton pick up and am generally a 5 over guy. If I drive a smaller vehicle for whatever reason, especially a car, going the speed limit feels too fast, going 75 on the interstate feels like I’m in a rocket.

In my life, I’ve noticed that Nissan drivers are the most assholish. The Maxima and Altima cars themselves look like assholes.

Pickup truck drivers usually drive slow in normal weather and traffic. Then as soon as it rains a little, they speed up. The worse the weather, the faster and more aggressively they drive.
