That truck has to be at LEAST two tons.

Aren't trucks labeled as half tons and 3/4 tons for a reason? If so, that truck is likely only half a ton.

Forget steering the truck in the right direction. How that plank held is beyond me

Has nothing to do with the big 3. Toyota determined that Americans use their trucks for every day commutes and thus provide a truck that is more for everyday driving/comfort. The 4Runner is pretty close to what a Hilux is though.

You cannot be serious.

First of all, the heaviest curb weight for a HiLux is 1960 kg, or ~4321pounds.

Second of all, half-ton, three-quarter ton, and one ton pickups were designated as such based on their payload capacity, not the truck weight itself. Modern trucks greatly exceed their implied payloads, but the moniker is still used.

Yes. Exactly... Considering my Audi weighs ~3,200lbs, I suspected the truck would weigh at least SLIGHTLY more.

At least he had the foresight to go in with the windows already down.

I would only do that if I were being wenched in.

IIRC, they are the size of a 4 runner, but have a fully boxed frame, different suspension and drivetrain, and you can get a diesel.

It is sort of in between a Tacoma and a Tundra

I gotta ask why was he just sitting there and jamming the brakes? Once the front end was in the ship, he just sits there waiting for everything to collapse.

Just drive fricking in already!
