I was thinking the same. He didn't suffer, and the family didn't have to watch him wither away too much.

I grew up a couple of miles through the woods from him and graduated with Willie from West Monroe in 1990. He was a different character back in the day but it was all for the good. RiP

His life is a tremendous story of Gods grace and forgiveness. I’ll forever be thankful for the Robertson family and their ministry. Their new show premieres next Sunday for anyone interested. Well done good and faithful servant. Your race is WON.

Amazing man that inspired a ton of people to get better. He hit rock bottom and got himself out of it with his faith and created an empire.
