Depending on your insurance there may be a mail order option allowing you to receive a 90 day supply delivered right to your door. Varies from plan to plan but I’d call my insurer and inquire.

For need right now meds, I get at CVS. For my long term meds, I just get them through mail. It's just easier with them showing up to work than me having to get to the CVS and hope there isn't a line. Especially, since the price is the same.

Go to an independent. Support your locally owned pharmacy. You will get your meds faster and will have a much better experience

Thats smart. To let your meds sit outside or in a mail box in 100 degree heat. What can possibly go wrong

Willing to bet that they have a signature requirement.

Nope. Some do, some don’t. Have patients all the time that ask to get their meds transferred to us because they left them in the mailbox

Many meds cannot be stored at temperatures much higher than room temperature. Keep this in mind if you have meds that will be delivered and sit on your porch or in your mailbox. Online pharmacies will ship temperature sensitive meds regardless of how hot the USPS or other carrier lets them get.

This is what I do. I switched years ago after getting them filled at Walmart. The Walmart I used got worse. It was absolutely horrible.

I would drop off a script & tell them I would pick it up the next day. Get there & have to wait 20-30mins.

One day I dropped it off & told them IND pick it up around the same time the following day. Got there, told me it would be about 15 mins. Waited around, it was longer than usual. It was about 40 mins later the lady tells me "we are out. We will have it maybe tomorrow after noon or the next day". I got my prescription, went local.. They had it filled in 10 mins. I still go there.

Go to a local. If they don't have the med, they will get it in the next day. Also no long waits or lines.

This! They never run out of my meds and they will fill them quickly while I wait if needed.

Like your meds weren't in 100 degree heat on a cargo ship from China/India or in some 18 wheeler in the US

Go local. One of my neighbors owns her own pharmacy in our town. She takes care of all my prescriptions. And she has an app where all I have to do is click on what I need refilled when I sort my meds for the week. I usually do this on Saturday’s after I take my evening meds. I then go pick them up Monday. She even has a drive through. If you can find a good local pharmacy you can trust, thats where you need to go.
