There has to be SOMEONE on this crew that is watching this that has stop work authority and a few brain cells right? They cannot possibly think they are going to do it with the strap configuration as is....

This. I just hope it doesn't take anybody out when it falls.

I think they have room for two or three more straps on that hook

If they can even get this thing off the base and it rolls that top strap will come off the hook and Mitch will not like the result.

Anybody on a job site who observes unsafe activity has the authority to stop work.
The problem is, these guys don't have a clue. And even if they did, good luck finding one that's willing to risk his job by crossing Mitch Bitch.

The height of the hook above Beauregards head doesn't jive with me either as it looks too low based on a lawsuit I was involved in where I sued a crane manufacturer. In fact this looks about 10 feet too low but what do I know I'm just a product liability attorney.

The thing is, not a single person out there has experience with this. The city probably rented a crane from someone and is paying all of these firemen to do the lift and rigging

The 30 day period in the letter all makes sense now..just might take em that long to finger this out.

This is going to end with the largest pot hole ever on esplanade or wisner....
