Hold on. I treat my shelter rescue pets just as good. And, I feed them Blue Buffalo.

Can someone please answer, why does Mike actually exist as LSU's mascot? Why does any school need or even want a live mascot?

Im asking this as someone who's school did not have a live mascot.

Go check out this wikipedia if you want to know more about live mascots.

He is a rescue cat and having him as a mascot is actually the best possible life for him.

Why do people feel the need to have pets? Why does anyone even need or want a live pet? We should just let all animals be free... and we shouldn't eat meat either... that's mean.

And there we go.

It's not really about the tiger. It's about the fans thinking it's "badass".

Your demeanor toward the subject is condescending and abrasive. The school knows they are giving the animal the best possible life, and they will never change their mind on it, nor should they.

I'm not just a fan im also a student. And as a student I walk by mikes cage every time I'm on campus. Hes treated better than any student at LSU. Hell, he even gets brought inside when it rains too hard.

People have live pets because they like the interaction with said pet. And most pets are domesticated enough to where they can live indoors alongside their owners.

How many LSU fans have personally interacted with MIke?

I agree with this and even said so in my first post.

Probably just walked the campuses at Berkeley, Boulder etc to get them all.

Exactly. Ignorant, unemployed liberals who sit around and stay on Twitter and Facebook all day. Mike has a 15,000 square foot habitat. I wonder how big their house is?

I signed it and told multiple people to do the same. Hopefully you guys do too

Yep. I did as well. There's a reason why you never see mike on the field anymore. He's to aggressive from being confined and is a complete nightmare if he gets in that trailer. He needs to be in a sanctuary at the BR zoo. If you are a true fan you'd understand.

I'm pretty sure hundreds of thousands of people have admired Mike in his habitat. What's your definition of personal interaction and how does this relate to the petition to remove mike from his home?

Why is this a thing? Is it supposed to be an insult?

If you play into party politics, then the joke's on you.

Yeah, because he will be treated so much better at the BR Zoo.

Hundreds of thousands. In the same way they interacted with their goldfish at home. Or should the fish not live in a tank and be thrown into the LSU lakes, bc "that's what's best for them"?

Yeah I'm sure you'd rather be locked in a cage than out chasing arse and prey.

Mike was born in captivity at a rescue in Indiana and was 2 years old before he came to LSU. He could not survive in the wild because he never had to hunt for his food. Mike has luxury living quarters including a separate air conditioned den that he can go in whenever he wants. Also, he has a swimming area and trees to climb on. Mike has his own veterinary team that cares for him 24/7. He wouldn't have this type of care had he stayed at that rescue in Indiana.

I already said at least once that the best place for Mike is where he currently is and that the protesters are idiots offering no viable solutions.

Try to keep up.
