 how the hell have we gotten to this point?

Social media did this.

Only a decade ago, people like this

Globalaai added: "Furthermore this is a socially irresponsible depiction in a movie aimed at children and based on an iconic and classic children's story. To spread a message that condones such victimising and dangerous behaviour amongst children is grossly offensive to worldwide viewers especially those who live with severe allergic disease."

We’ll just stay inside and eat leaves so you can walk around in a safe zone.

Yeah, no. Turn down your every-kids-film-is-communist dial.

It’s hilarious. My son and I laughed ourselves to death. It’s Home Alone levels of slapstick.

Lots of kids films have political ideologies behind them. Like I love the Incredibles and WALL-E, but there are clear political undertones with those.

Wow.

Just, wow.

"Get over it"?

"GET OVER IT"?!?!?!

Do you even KNOW what it's like to have an allergy? LITERALLY living EVERY SINGLE SECOND of your LIFE wondering if someone is going to allergy bully you, giving you a brush with DEATH?!?!?!

It's LITERALLY like playing Russian roulette.

You've got an ally here, Sabi. We really need to let everyone know that THIS IS NOT OK.

The fact that this message has been allowed to be placed in a children's movie has me LITERALLY crying.

I get that these parents fears because little Timmy has allergies but I really wish they wouldn’t take this shite to the extreme. Things like no peanut butter sandwiches at schools and stuff. And gluten people are the worst. What is causing this epidemic of allergies anyways??

W/o seeing the movie I don't know if it could actually be called bullying but either way it's pretty fricked up to have a kids movie where the heroes attack a person by using their food allergy against them.

It's not like this is a flick for 18 years olds who understand you could kill a person this way. This is for little kids who often stupidly imitate things they see in the home, on TV, or in movies.

I agree with that. Common sense would say they shouldn’t have put that in.

Jesus Christ.

This is the "Doom video game will cause kids to murder" bullshite all over again. Kids used to watch a bird and a coyote try to murder each other and it didn't make them try to drop anvils on each other's heads. This is more hysteria form the puritanical leftists.

kill a person? Maybe make them itch.

Read the allergens part of this Blackberry info sheet

And the allergen may be the same stuff that makes aspirin work.

Aspirin in fruits and vegetables, baby!

Took my son (6) to see it Sat. He liked it.

I thought they were cleverly making fun of fake food allergies with that bit.

I didn't know there was such a thing as food bullying
