Gunner, lazy, jobless and acts like a rug. Will tackle you to say hello. Thinks he’s 5lbs.

Bernese mountain dog 130lbs.

Currently without any pets but this was our last one. Her name was Katrina after the Hurricane because she was born the day it hit. Best dang dog I’ve ever had. She was an inside dog but always hung out outside while we were at work. She could catch birds out of the air and even chased down a few squirrels. Tied into it with opossums and armadillos on the regular. We lived way out in fairly rural area and our yard had tons of trees. We moved to North Bossier and our neighborhood is directly across Airline Drive from a large open field which is patrolled by a red tailed hawk. Of course I did not know this when we moved in and one day when we were gone to work, the hawk tried to get her and tore her up really bad. When I got home and found her she was still alive and rushed her to the Emergency Vet. She was 13 and the vet said that due to her age and the extent of the damage it was best to put her down. I cried like a baby. Tearing up a little just typing this. I hate she laid there and suffered all day til I found her. I hate that damn bird and still see it flying around from time to time. It had actually claimed a few pups in our neighborhood I later found out.
