They wouldn't have witnessed it. They would have done something about it...

My grandparents. My grandfather, a WWII vet, passed in 2001 before 9/11, and my grandmother in 2004. Sure, there was PC back then but people hadn’t lost their ever fricking minds over it yet. I miss them both terribly but I’m glad they didn’t get to see what a shite-show the world has become.

By poliboard standards JC was a SJW. He opposed the Vietnam war before it was cool to be antiwar. He went out and talked to hippies. Listen to the lyrics of Man in Black. LINK

quote:

“I wore black because I liked it. I still do, and wearing it still means something to me. It’s still my symbol of rebellion - against a stagnant status quo, against our hypocritical houses of God, against people whose minds are closed to others’ ideas.” Johnny Cash.

This is not a standard anyone uses. J Cash would have been cancelled 10 times.

Johnny Cash would have been fine. He was pretty open to different ideas.

My grandma - she witnessed it a little bit though

She called her Asian doctor in the hospital a not nice name because he was terribly rude, and he wanted to have her committed.

He almost didn’t release my grandma to my mom when it was time for discharge, but it was overridden by the hospital administrators.
