Otto Skorzeny and Mad Mike Hoare. WW2 vets turned mercs who did all sorts of crazy shite in the 60s and 70s.

Lynn “Buck” Compton
Worked in Hollywood as a kid with Charlie Chaplin
Played football and baseball at UCLA with Jackie Robinson. (Compton was an All American baseball player and played in the rose bowl)
Served in ww2 as paratrooper in Easy company. (Awarded a silver star from DDay)
After the war worked at LAPD and then law school and became district attorney and led the successful prosecution of Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Robert F. Kennedy and later appointed as an associate justice on the California Court of Appeal.
