In my experience, women are definitely the worst. Middle aged women.

Worst to best:

Black middle aged women
White middle aged women
Black 20s-30s women
Teenagers
Black 20s-30s men
Black men
Elderly women
Elderly men
20s-30s white women

Middle aged white men

Indeed.

Ive never complained at any restaurant ever, no matter how bad the service. They are bringing you who knows what from who knows where and you have to eat it.

Now, Subway? Have at it. All that glass gives me confidence.

I may be shallow, but I judge a person by how they treat service people.

I wonder how similar or dissimilar that list is for male waiters and bartenders

You (as a customer) should have told those old hags to STFU. The girl is doing the best she could.

And then ask the grannys if one of them crapped on themselves cause they smell like poo... tell them they need to go check their diaper. it might be full.

Damn I hate rude people.

People see service people as inferior so they treat them like crap.

Besides the food being absolute crap - this is the main reason why I don’t goto places like Pf Chang’s or Chili’s. To many dirt dick patrons.

Come up to DC where the fast food people are all from Guatemala and/or Honduras.

Because hispanics are are hard working people. My wifes family is Honduran. She has the best work ethic of anyone Ive seen outside of maybe my stepdad who grew up in Jefferson Parish and is of German ancestry.

I'm excessively courteous to food service workers for this very reason.

Not the uber wealthy. The worst are the wanna be rich progessionals, mainly lawyers and doctors. Ive got a friend who managed hotels in seattle and hawaii, he?says the really rich are decent. The next tier down is the worst. My experience in tourism agrees

Ahhh, yes, The Nouveau Riche. They are chasing a perceived standard and attitude and fulfilling a character that doesnt reflect reality anywhere but in cinema. They also actually still work(doctors, lawyers) so they are more stressed than the uber rich who just point and tell people what to do and shuffle money around.

My wife has lawyer clients and says they are the most stressed of all her clients.

If it makes you feel any better, this isn't super common. I was reading something the other day about common misconceptions and someone said, "contrary to belief, I've never seen anyone frick with someone's food in the dozens of places I've worked" and hundreds of people agreed (myself included).

The worst I've ever done was when a woman with a bad attitude came in and asked for red beans and rice with no sausage.

Me: Oh, I'm sorry. The sausage actually doesn't come in links.
Her: Yeah, I just want the red beans and rice without it. Do you understand?
Me: Hmm, I might not have explained that right. It is chopped up little pieces of sausage cooked into the red beans.
Her: YEAH - I don't want. Take it out.
Me: So... You want me to pick the sausage out with my hands?
Her: You can use a spoon, I don't care how you do it. I just don't want it.

Me to the kitchen: That order of red beans coming back needs extra sausage!

As a resident, I have learned to truly respect front desk employees at doctor's offices - especially the good ones. They are front line for all the shite and nobody is happy.

Truth. The doctor I work for now is great because he personally thanks all of the staff every single day. Rare to see from a physician and makes the staff so much more happy to help him. Being nice gets you a long way in life.

I always assume a service person is overwhelmed because management screwed up the scheduling or somebody called in sick. The person there has probably been screwed over by someone else.

I'm always nice to all our local small town service workers. I usually get stellar, over the top service too.

My wife and I both worked alot of food service in our youth, we can easily detect the difference between shitty employees and good employees in shitty situations. We’re always extremely nice and understanding to the latter, but my wife is a super bitch to the former.

Aren't very smart.

Godfather1's #1 rule in life: never EVER frick with the people who are handling your food.

I never, ever, fricking ever, disrespect anybody that handles food me or my family is going to eat. If I snap, I just walk away and leave.
