I've always wondered this as well. When I drive to work at 6:30am I always see a ton of people on the phone and I wonder who the hell they're talking to that early? And about what?

I do this all the time but Im never actually on the phone. I just carry on a fake conversation so people will leave me the frick alone. Or if I see someone I know, it gives me a reason to just smile and wave.

The 630 am thing I know some people use their commute time to catch up with family, like cousins and stuff. Seems like a good way to pass the time.

I think it was C Bukowski who said something along the lines of:
"Be afraid of the person who always seeks a crowd and attention. They are nothing alone".
Put those people in that category and avoid them.

No, the people I'm talking about don't even really seem to be doing that at all. They are just blabbering about mundane nothing bullshite and seemingly oblivious that they are in public and surrounded by other individuals.
