I flew last week and someone did that and a guy stood up and got close to a dust up. He was about to find out what others thought about his actions. Then he had to stand that while big boy mugged him for several mins.

This is why I prefer window. I usually just relax and wait for the clown to leave. And I dont want some hefer spilling onto me while they just stand there

This isn’t the 1960’s, when people actually dressed more formally on planes. If it’s the weekend or non work, church, dinner table, related there is nothing wrong with wearing a hat inside of 95% of places. Especially a regular commercial airplane.
I’m not going to write someone off or think someone is trashy, because they dress comfortably or wear a hat on a plane. Now if someone, doesn’t shower, doesn’t respect personal space, is a mask Nazi, or is generally distasteful or unpleasant, that’s another thing.

I was forced to do this recently. My flight arrived late and I had a connection to make. Even though I was totally justified, I felt like a tremendous a-hole.
If you are not on a private flight than whatever you are rushing for can wait. It is not important to the world. Either because it was not even important enough for you to spend the money or you are so poor nothing you are doing matters.

I agree with you.

They re in a big hurry to stand up and wait lol. If you get up when the plane lands, you ain’t going anywhere right away lol.

I’ve said it for a while now…..they should keep the 1st class curtain closed until 1st class has deplaned on arrival.

When I am in the aisle seat I will get my bag out of the overhead and sit it in the aisle beside my seat.

Not sure what your flight situation is. I’ve flown 17 times in the last year or so after Covid. Haven’t seen this once.

The past few times I’ve flown, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend. Once something I saw only on international flights, it has now infected domestic travel
I noticed this too....in 1996, which was my first flight.
This has always happened.
I do agree it's aggravating, though.

And you stand there in the aisle waiting to get off?

It's really wierd. I recently went to a vacation destination and half of the plane was in a big hurry to get off the plane so they can wait at baggage.
Yeah but at least it’s not waiting on that damned plane. Especially on long arsed flights, I want nothing worse than to get off that thing lol.

Of all the times I’ve flown, this has only happened to me once - I landed in Paris on Icelandic air and most of the frenchies were in a rush
Well, the very, very pretty, polite stewardess - stood in the aisle and screamed something fierce like a monster
Some French arse told her he didn’t understand English (he had been giving the stewardesses a hard time the whole flight) so she told him to sit in French
He might still be sitting on the plane

No, just sit there in my seat with the bag in the aisle until the seats in front of me are empty.

There should be booby trap doors with arrows that shoot across and down the aisle just at standing height to help out the population. See y’all at baggage claim!

I've been letting people in my row get out & people pushing to go by because they "have a connection." When we land ten mins early, they're going to wait their turn.
For me, the worst are the gate lice. These folks are in Zone 5, row 58 & they begin standing in front of the gate 30 mins before boarding. Then when everyone is trying to get on, they stay there in everyone's way. Total lack of awareness.

What’s worse are the people that wait until the entire plane in front of them have left to finally get up and then spend 3 minutes trying to get their 3 oversized carry-ons down from the bin.
When the seatbelt sign goes off get up and get your ONE carryon down so you’re ready to step when your turn comes.

Most of those people are in this thread.
I’d much rather people be ready to go and standing in the aisle with their shite as soon as the seatbelt sign turns off than to wait for someone to climb out of their seat and fumble through their shite.
