For an LLM, sure. But if you put "JD" behind your name I am going to assume you passed law school but have not passed the bar.

It's a bit obnoxious but there's actually a valid reason for doing this. Communications between an attorney and their client are privileged so putting some legal indicator in the signature block may let others know not to pass that email around or produce it in a lawsuit.

I have mine on LinkedIn and my resume, but not in my email signature. It's not really relevant to my field so it doesn't matter anyway. I knew someone who put their associate's degree in their signature though so anything is possible.

This one is 100x more impressive than 99% of MBAs and most law degrees.

Maybe in the next life you'll finish community college.

fricking losers.
Agreed.

In my experience these are the people that say reach out, onboarding, circle back and call everyone “Team”.
They have the I’m important look at me mentality and don’t really have an original thought in their head

I have my MBA from LSU and would never put that in my signature.
It always seems the folks that I see do it have online MBAs from somewhere like Phoenix university.

Not as bad as someone who puts some stupid quote in the signature

I got into an "official difference of professional opinion" with a dude with a PhD in Enviromental Science over improper maintenance of a spoil pile years ago. There is a file somewhere in the Department of Energy, the EPA and the New Mexico Department of Environmental Protection over his insistence that I withhold payment to a contractor for improperly maintaining a pile of dirt despite his company's approval of their maintenance plan and their fulfilling the requirements of that plan to perfection and the satisfaction of all 3 government agencies. I refused to withhold payment, he got pissy and away we went LOL. He insisted on being called Dr. I never once, in years of affidavits and meetings and hearings referred to him as Dr. I was once directed to do so, out of courtesy, by an arbitrator, who I respectively declined. He was so bad that when I would refer to him as Mr. he would refuse to respond until it was noted that he had a PhD. He would also get completely pissed off LOL. All of this over a pile of dirt. A sizeable pile of dirt admittedly but dirt all the same. When I was a kid and someone asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up the first answer was always "argue with an a-hole with a PhD over a fricking pile of dirt".

laugh at them behind their backs.
I picked up an MBA and I don't know that I ever mentioned it except here and on a resume.
