if all you want is black coffee buy their branded beans at the store and make it yourself.

it takes FAR less time to do that then to drive all the way to a store so you can wait in line.

If you don't like the taste of coffee, why get it? Just order syrup, but then that's what they are doing.

What do you recommend? I typically only go on the weekends, because I typically buy coffee online and drink it at the office on weekdays.

Community Coffee - make it at home, yourself.

Either that or quit bitching.

Or coffee flavored ice cream, may even save a few calories.

Coffee? Pour. Go. Not that hard. Fatties? lard, cream, sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar, icing, toppings, sugar, creamer. 20 minutes for a days worth of calories that they're going to suck down in 10 then go hit up a diet soda machine before their 2nd breakfast at Mcdonalds.

Damn!

Very true for those who look for a more watered down, weak coffee.

Grind your own like most folks who like good coffee do these days. I can't believe anyone goes to Starbucks for regular coffee.

I do.

Look, the house is extremely quite when I get up, and I like to get to my office early, so i choose not to wake the wife and kid up making coffee or spend my time farting around making/drinking it.

I prefer to grab a cup of some Pike Place at the Starbucks literally five minutes from my office so that I can relax at my desk with my coffee...and pastry if I'm feeling extra special that day...and ease into my day.

That said, I don't think it's great coffee - I enjoyed the percolator coffee I made on the camp fire last weekend over Starbucks coffee, but it's close and does the trick.

My grande dark roast is the best $1.84 (no tip) I spend every day. Believe that.

It takes me about 2 minutes to grind and start. They have new grinders that make very little noise as well. The local roast is better than Starbucks IMO.

You do realize that most coffee makers have timers on them that you can set to brew at any time of the day, don't you? Mine starts about the time I get in the shower every morning and is ready to pour as I'm on my way out the door. Saves a shitload of time over stopping and paying $5 for a cup of coffee and tastes a hell of a lot better than SB or CCs, and since my wife and kid aren't lazy as frick, they are up before I leave the house anyway.

But, you see, I'm not in a rush. Therfore, I don't have to worry about the time...

lol... Are you implying that mine are? I mean, certainly your jimmies aren't that rustled over MY daily coffee routine...

Besides, my kid is 4 and, considering I make decent money, my wife is able to take her to school at 7:30 (her normal start time) and get back home to start her daily cush work-from-home job (where she makes decent money). But, hey, good for your wife and kid!
