Step outside on an August day with no breeze and then with a breeze blowing that hot air in your face. That breeze blowing hot air always feels refreshing. Same when fanning inside for me. Maybe you need to learn how to fan better.

The threads that come from the once-a-year attendees are always interesting.

I’m pissed because it was a beautiful Easter Service and the person sitting in front of me was over dramatically fanning her face during worship and it ruined the entire Easter service for me which is the Super Bowl of Church days.

Again.. it’s rude and very selfish.

I don’t know about yours but our church is well air conditioned. Never see fans.

My main gripe is people coming into church late and disrupting everything. This morning as we were half way into the Penitential Act a couple came in and asked me and others to slide over. I lost my place in the confession and just finished it in my mind. It continued for another 10 minutes in other rows as the Easter Catholics strolled in late, disrupting the service.

I know it’s Easter and it’s crowded and we should be glad people are coming but I was annoyed. I seriously prayed for patience and understanding. It’s not that hard to be on time once a week. It’s especially important in Catholic mass as everything is ordered and reverential.

At least they are not the petty type that sits back and judges everyone to make them feel better about their life.

So that’s what you got out of service, wow. I attended church with my daughter. It’s a mostly young church with some old mixed in. Super diverse. And they were praising the Lord with uplifted hands. Not me, I grew up in white southern Baptist churches where we basically stayed silent except when the men would holler “Amen” on occasion. And raised my kids there, too. But I enjoyed seeing them lost in worship. She and her friends like it there. Maybe be happy she was there. Maybe she was happy to be there. Don’t be so negative.

What is the difference between Southern Baptist and the other Baptist? More conservative?

Yes. It’s part of the Southern Baptist Convention. But this was non-denominational and it was cool. To see people enjoying worship.

I see. So Southern Baptist is the "official" Baptist.. In a sense.

It’s not like fanning your face with a flyer for an entire hour during a service is actually cooling you off We get that you want everybody in the service to know that you are miserable and hot but fanning yourself is not going to cool you off with the warm air that you are fanning yourself with

She’s probably on Facebook telling everyone she had to fan her face the entire service because some dude behind her smelled like arse and she thought she was going to puke….
