Is McDonald’s fast food the same as a restaurant with a chef preparing your meal?

No. McDonalds is lesser quality and easier to make, so they charge less.

But they still get paid shite and provide a service to you.

Explain to me why you shouldn't tip them.

Why do they deserve a tip for just handing me food that I drove to come get?

Because they spent all that time putting your food into a box when they could have been playing candy crush saga.

I tip about 10% on carryout.

Consider it welfare for all of those who don't tip anything.

That $5 to $7 is worth a lot more to them than it is to me.

It takes 30 seconds. When I worked in the food industry I never expected a tip for such a small act. Anyone that expects a tip for something so little is a tool

That’s a pack of cigs. Means a lot to a starving English major who’s minoring in African American gender studies.

If it’s a restaurant that can hook you up in the future and you like the people there...tip them. It’s simple. They treat you better than Shane who walks into the front door and picks up his shite and leaves with a zero on the tip line.

People at McDonald’s change like the wind. So, no. Considering the fact that they are extremely part time, it’s fast food and it’s always wrong...I don’t tip at McDonald’s. There is no benefit for me and frankly they don’t deserve it.

I would love to tip at chic-FIL-a but they won’t accept it. That’s great service.

Quite the opposite of “welcome to McDonald’s, what’s your order....that’ll be $7.70....poo forward”

I tip at sonic because they bring it to my truck and they offer me extra stuff and they seem to want to be there.

The ol "fight for 15". Funny how they never call it "earn for 15"

Well put.

I also believe that an unexpected tip makes their day.

And there is no harm in living my life among the good kharma.

You're gonna have to explain this to me. They get paid shite and provide a service to you. They don't deserve it because they don't work there long? Or because someone down the line gets the order wrong?

Why would you not want fast food employees making more money? Higher pay = better talent pool = better service.

I just don’t understand the people who put a zero or a zero with a line through it.

Like the to-go girl is going to add a $5 tip or something.

Creature of habit for me. I so this when the line is there and I can't think of a reason to tip.

I tip on most pick up orders a dollar or two because I have no clue how involves the person working the window was.

Take it up with your boss and corporate. Don't expect me to make up for their greed. They are putting the food in the bag which is already wrapped for them. I'm going to tip them for something that takes 5 seconds? No thanks.

Only time I leave a tip is if they have someone bring it out to me. I'll give that person a dollar.
