Arent you married?

This is one thing I do not get at all. If I was a male that didnt want to have kids, I have no idea why I would want to in turn be married......

Having kids is not the only reason to be married, that is not the point I am making. But if I went the I dont want kids route, I sure as hell wouldnt go the married route

Redneck is still a kid himself...his daddy is still supporting him and his wife....thats the reason he's not ready to have kids......I'm kinda happy he doesnt have any kids......he'll grow up one day and his tune will change.

Redneck once told the board one of his friends had a dog that was half fox.. Not sure if he confused a fox with a wolf, but he said the dog was half fox... Which is impossible since a dog and fox can breed with each other.

I love these threads

I assume by now we've established that it isn't necessarily true that healthy couples free of abnormal risk factors who choose not to have kids are bad people.

Solid rule of thumb nonetheless, but not infallible.

It would be interesting to see how many people that dont want to have kids had a good family life.

I dont mean the parents treated them poorly, but did they have actual fun with their family

hate to bust your bubble professor, but I have a wonderful family that gave (and still give) me wonderful memories. I have nothing but love and fondness for my family.

All the best memories of my life is huge trips, parties, and get togethers with all my siblings and cousins and aunts and uncles.

My best memories are of my immediate family.

I couldnt imagine not wanting to continue that as a future patriarch.

patriarch? You sound like you are short. Why do you want to be more patriarchal than paternal? Do you want a family because you feel it will give you power and control over a group, as the "patriarch"?

You seem too emphatic about having a family. Like you are trying to prove something. You're over-knighting for the cause IMO.

I can’t figure out why people are so obsessed with everyone else having kids. You seriously can’t just live your own life? If you think people are missing out or something, keep the belief to yourself.

He sees how well people that don't have kids live and is jealous, so he tells himself that he is a better person that those people. He wishes he had the disposable income and free time of a dual income couple without kids. He sees all the vacations they take. He sees the vehicles they drive. It all boils down to jealousy.

Any pregnant woman, no matter how healthy she is, over the age of 35 is considered a high risk pregnancy.

It's clear from this thread that neither side understands the other, at all.

People who say they aren't having kids are basically saying everything their ancestors went through and ovecame to allow their existence were so that they could enjoy ~80 easy years watching Netflix, going to Whole Foods, and keeping up with what their friends are doing on Facebook.

Say what you will. But if you gave my ancestors access to a screen that shows you constant visuals of arse, tits and cooter. He would be cranking down just like me baw.

The only difference is that I am doing it on a memory foam mattress and he would have had to crank down near a palmetto bush.

And I'll get skewered for saying that, but we all have defects. I have plenty of mental defects.

My doctor told me they had to pick an age and just went with 35.

But you can be perfectly healthy and the pregnancy itself causes health issues. Preeclampsia for example.

they saw their friends all leading different kinds of lives and having families to "brag" about. Soon though, they changed their story to one of pity claiming that they could not have children. Most people I knew didn't buy it and they got pretty annoying about bringing it up anytime people mentioned their kids

Could it be that the only thing you had to talk about was your kids? Didn't you have adult things to talk about? Why didn't you talk about the cool places you've traveled to? Could it be that because of kids you were limited to a single yearly trip to the redneck riviera?

I will ask you, do you beleive being transgendered is a mental defect?

One is a person dismissing their birth gender

the other is a person dismissing their natural human instinct to procreate

I dont see how one can logically argue one is a mental defect and the other isnt, but this board seems to want to make that distiction
