I’ve always known some people were like this but I just ran into someone who was blatantly recommending “don’t ever try anything because it’s a waste of time.”

Man, that’s depressing. If things get stale, change things up. Things must be so boring for people who fall into that mindset that trying is a waste of energy.

I prefer to think of it as “coasting on potential”

Don’t worry. I know you’re up tight about the game tomorrow. No one will judge Ole Miss losing to Memphis too harshly. Memphis is legitimately a better team.

Why is trying something a waste of time, but doing nothing isn't?

Noodle legs? You are a fricking hero.. I tell you that.

And no trying something isn't a waste of time. It seems like the person the OP is talking about is saying there is no point in trying things because it is a waste of time.

That is a relative statement depending on what is being done instead of trying something.

Ultimately everything is a waste of time considering that we are all going to die in relatively short order. Doing absolutely nothing is one of my favorite things to do.

From someone who is 70, life is too short to waste it judging others and it never helps. Your opinion only matters to yourself. Live and let live.

Two. The second, and masters, are still in the envelopes LSU ships in.

Talk about a waste of money

Everybody can't be exceptional. Most of the world is mediocre.

The work we do is insignificant. Yet people spend their lives dedicated to it.

Few people are exceptional, were all average here

Once you find perfection why would need to look for innovative ways to downgrade?
