That don't work when the link causes an app to open. Like Youtube or Facebook.

And a lot of time it’s not blind at all. Thread title says "check out this cool car crash vid" or whatever then posts the link and somebody inevitably chimes in about "thanks for the blind link a-hole!", or they can’t use obvious context clues, etc.

I would imagine those cubicle workers can use context clues in conjunction with bowering their mouse over the link to make an educated guess on if they should click or not.

This doesn’t make any sense. People at work are most likely on a desktop or laptop and can hover.
The blind link thing here is relatively new.
We somehow made it 15 years here before this became a cardinal sin.
