Lame arse cop out.
You're basically saying you're strictly opposed to weed just because a piece of paper says its illegal and for that reason alone.
OP should've put a disqualifier saying to ignore the legal status of weed.

Answer this question. Have you ever heard of someone overdosing from weed and it directly killing someone?
If you say that weed is a gateway drug and other nonsensical things about it being bad for your health, you're misinformed and an idiot.

It blows my mind that people still use this line and are actually being serious. Willfully ignorant and bordering on full-on retarded.
It's like people take D.A.R.E. classes in elementary school and then just completely shut down the part of their brain that allows them to think for themselves for the rest of their lives.

This.
We've learned nothing from prohibition in the 20s. You will never stop People from producing a vice, selling a vice and consuming the vice. Drug Prohibition creates violence and puts people in jail with the real criminals in murderers, rapists and, thieves.

So glad I was able to stay away from those propaganda mills as a kid.

Yes that would describe you perfectly.
It is undeniable fact that weed is a gateway drug.
It is an essential precursor for most addicts.
It is nearly impossible to find an addict in America that didn't start with pot or indulge in it at some earlier point.
My brother started there.
Eventually he died of an overdose.
The better question is DOESN'T EVERY ADDICT START WITH A GATEWAY DRUG(?) whether it is pot or booze or whatever? And the answer is of course. You start with A and move to B in a very natural addictive progression.
And OF COURSE many never take it any further.
But having a minor child that smokes pot regularly is a pretty fricking good indicator that big problems may lie ahead.
Deal with it.

Honestly not sure where to being with this clusterfrick of a post.
What about a minor child that drinks heavily? That's cool?
So we're going to ignore the destructive properties of drinking and just throw all the blame on weed? Makes perfect sense.
Because there have been so many times when I was high where I thought "Man, I could go really go for some meth... Yeah... Meth sounds awesome right now."
What in the frick are you talking about? Literally millions of minor children drink and smoke pot and never become addicts. Neither drinking nor smoking as a minor child is a particularly great idea, but your generalizations are so stupid.
I'm sorry your brother was an addict and went off the deep end, but don't project your anger on those that are responsible and can control themselves. It's silly and hilariously and willfully ignorant for you to use weed as some scapegoat.
Question - did your brother drink?

Again-you can't argue against my point so you build all these hysterical Strawmen:
You know what a Strawman argument is, right?
Because a Strawman has never won an argument-even against you.
BUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT I ACTUALLY SAID ?
Because wow, you are really very stoned or a very dishonest person. Like when I said earlier in this thread
Step away from the pipe bro. Your thoughts and recall are discombobulated and fuzzy.

Yeah... you don't know what a strawman is. But keep screamin strawman if you want. You're funny, man.

I haven't read the entire thread (too long now) but I just wanted to say it's no doubt weed is safer and less harmful on the body even if it does make many people lazy and satisfied with less.
Both are fun once in a while in conditions where it's safe and appropriate, probably the only reason I'd ever prefer drinking over smoking would be to keep the below average dummies with badges at bay, serious frick those pieces of shite.

No I am sentient. You should try it. The advantage of clarity is that it allows you to entertain people's ACTUAL arguments, instead of the one's in your head you dishonestly and fuzzily ascribe to them.

Of course. So, like with any substance of its nature, it should be used in moderation.

Yep. Damn shame.

Some argument must be made that in order to get weed in a state that it is illegal, you have to go to the black market where often times other hard drugs are available.
Eta. In reference to it being a gateway
