Tennessee has had Constitutional carry since 2021. It has not turned our state into the Wild West either.
You guys have permitless carry, not constitutional...

IMO the benefit of CC wasn't so much having the license to carry but more so the public being educated at least to some degree on the laws surrounding carrying (i.e. castle doctrine, etc). But I'm of the opinion that morally if you carry you should make an effort to be educated about what you're carrying.
I agree with this but most people don't educate themselves or actually train to properly use a firearm.
That said, I am still for constitutional carry

That's my thoughts. Just by letting every kid with the cash to buy a cheap pistol to just stuff it in his waistband, will eventually become a disaster without some form of education on laws, reasoning, etc.
Unless today's 21 year olds are more mature than I was at that age, I'm not encouraged.

I went ahead and got my CCL even though we are now a Constitutional Carry state because it allows me to conceal carry in other states. Even though Texas is constitutional carry, it only applies to TX residents unless you have CCL.

I’m gonna carry whether it’s legal or not. If a state has this law passed then good but it does not make a difference to me.
Never leave home without it. Cell phone, keys, wallet, pistol. Check

Yep. Those only apply to the average Joe who was trying to follow the laws to begin with. I'm good with letting that guy carry if he wants to.

I’ve yet to do it, even though I thought I would. I will carry one in the console when I drive sometimes because I feel a car jacking is more likely than anything

This is false 100%, simple google search will tell you that.

Constitutional Carry for Non-Residents
Officially referred to as the Firearm Carry Act of 2021, this is the law that allows a legal gun owner to carry a gun without a license to carry in Texas. Generally referred to as constitutional carry or permitless carry, it applies to both residents of Texas and non-residents who are visiting or haven’t yet become official residents of the state. According to U.S. LawShield, residents and non-residents must meet the following requirements to carry a gun in Texas without an LTC:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be legally able to carry and purchase a gun
• Not be legally prohibited from owning or carrying firearms
In Texas, certain misdemeanor crimes could prevent you from carrying under constitutional carry as well. These eligibility requirements apply to residents and non-residents of Texas.

To be fair, Louisiana was already the wild, wild west.

Democrats are the ones doing most of the gun violence anyway.
In Baton Rouge and New Orleans the people who didn't care about a gun permit previously, are going to be the same ones committing gun violence in the future. They were already concealed carrying without a permit.
