People riding bikes on sidewalks and running on the road

What is up with that?

Running on the sidewalk can be pretty treacherous. My toe will always find a crack.

I run at night so I use the sidewalks because it’s closer to peoples houses. I like to look in when I pass and see if I can glimpse a boob.

Can't run on the sidewalk. Too many bikes in the way.

Blacktop roads are easier on the joints than a concrete sidewalk

Run on the roads against traffic whenever possible. Roads tend to be flatter and easier on the knees. I only use the sidewalks on extremely busy streets.

Generally speaking, frick people that ride bicycles on the sidewalk.
You are on a something that can hurt people. If my child is walking on the sidewalk, and you hit her, you are an a-hole.
If you are running on the sidewalk, and hit my daughter, you are an a-hole, but you are not endangering the public. (fast runners always run on the road or in places that don't deter them for speed, like serious cyclist).
Don't be an a-hole. Man up and deal with those cars if you are out of college. College is the exception. (Bitches need rides.)

Teach your daughter to get out of my fricking way and she wouldn’t get hit

Who is more likely to walk away from a collision:
A bicyclist who gets hit by a car or a child who gets clipped by a bicycle on the sidewalk?
Which is easier to avoid a collision with: a bike in a travel lane going 30mph less than surrounding traffic or people walking on a sidewalk?
I know the law currently states otherwise, but I truly believe that bikes should be sharing sidewalks with pedestrians and not travel lanes with cars.

Depends. If it is a multi-use path with a larger width, it’s designed for bikes and peds.

Yes.
That works for a small child while you are an adult who can't ride in the road because you are scared.
Man up!

Bump, thought this thread would be a good place to drop this from yesterday. Not a high traffic area but still, if you wanna make everyone hate bikers, this is how you do it.

That’s my wife when sleeping. She’s a kicker when she sleeps. Once a week her toe “gooses” my caboose.
Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night with a toe in your crack.

Be glad it is just a toe

There are a hundred cyclist threads and this is the one you choose to bump?
