I dont think you have a clue how many people are wanting to assassinate political figures. Most are just nutcases that get caught before they ever get close, but there's no shortage of them. Very few get far enough to be newsworthy.

the thing that impresses me is they first had an older guy in custody that said "it was me it was me" and they arrested him within hours on an unrelated charge. and now days later they say he actually was involved .
