Not sure what you are getting at here. Looked it up but I'm not understanding the connection

The argument for eating dog
I know it's a shameless bump but I came across this and thought it apt, and the thread from yesterday is anchored.

The more value a creature has for humans by being alive, the better they are treated. This goes for animals and people
Whales provide literally no value to Westerners and are revered on nearly a spiritual level by them.
When we did harvest them for things they had a great deal of value and were hunted to near extinction (supposedly, idk how those numbers are even compiled.)
Theory flawed.

We domesticate animals we can herd and make subservient.
Cetaceans just don't reproduce fast enough. And that whole "ocean" thing.
Funny story. Saw an ad in the grocery store for Atlantic Salmon. They were raised in the Pacific.
What the hell?

what if I told you, in general, pigs are smarter than dogs

What if I told you the average dog is more self-sufficient than 10% (lowballing here) of Americans?

dogs are better than people and are generally innocent beings, like children we like
gorillas remind us of ourselves so we feel like we are murdering people if we kill them and eat them
Humans are violent TPOS so we can't really do much to stop the drug wars in Central America other than ending the War on Drugs here.
Dogs serve a purpose and can love you back whereas many other animals lack that capacity.

Funny thing here. If you leave a dog to fend for itself, it will learn how to do so or starve. If you coddle it and give it everything and never give it a chance to fend for itself, it will die in your absence, or turn feral.
Same damn thing with humans. Maybe we need to stop feeding them so much.
